What does detox mean?
When we say 'detox' we are describing the body's ability to flush out unwanted elements, such as toxic or harmful substances. All of the body's eliminatory systems play a part, particularly the liver, kidneys and lymphatic system.
Sometimes these systems can get overloaded and sluggish; when we're not well and battling an infection, or perhaps when we've overindulged in unhealthy habits, for example.
